Maxi Cosi Elea

Welcome to Maxi Cosi’s newest addition, the Maxi Cosi Elea.

The Elea’s big USP is that all of those little extras you need to buy on top of other pushchairs like rain cover, Shopping basket, Parasol clip and most importantly Baby Nest (think very posh cuddly footmuff) are included from the off.

You can purchase extras like the Elea Carrycot, but it’s not really necessary as the seat unit can lie completely flat already, and the Baby Nest is so padded and gorgeous I think any baby would feel lovely and secure snuggled up asleep in it.

The other big claim made by Maxi Cosi is that the Elea will fold down to half the size of your standard stroller. You can either fold leaving the seat unit attached and the Elea is free standing, and measures 88.5cm x 38cm x 33cm.

For an even more compact fold you can remove the seat for longer term storing or to fit in a tight for space car boot, the measurements will then be 84cm x 38cm x 33cm. The wheels can also be removed if you need to make it even smaller.

The Elea is available in a range of 4 colours, Total Black, Intense Red, Brown Earth and Steel Grey. I’m not sure why but Intense Red is my favourite of the lot, and that’s strange for me to say as i’ve never liked a red pushchair before.

A small little feature which I like as I haven’t seen it done before, is the swivel lock front wheels. The button to lock the wheels is at the back of the pushchair, unlike most pushchairs which put them at the front over the wheels. I think this is a really useful thought-out feature, as lots of times I’ve been going over a bit of a bumpy path and in all honesty should have locked the wheels but didn’t as I was too lazy to stop and walk around the front to fiddle with them.
