Slendertone System Abs – Review post #1

New Year, New Body that’s what we all want isn’t it. Well I’ve been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to trial the new Slendertone System Abs for a few months, in the hope that for me this year it might actually happen.

I’ll start by confessing that I’m probably not the ideal candidate for a Slendertone trial as my waist is 44″!! It’s okĀ as the belt does actually fit me, but 44″ is the maximum length of the belt so it’s only just. So this is an opportunity for you to follow whether the Slendertone will actually work on someone who for want of a better phrase let themselves go, rather than the already skinny models you usually see on the TV ad’s.

I’m under no illusions that the Slendertone is going to be some miracle belt that sucks the fat of my stomach or anything, i’m just hoping that it can possibly trim maybe an inch or so and get my abs back in check. You see after two pregnancies both of which were breach, and both ending in Caesarean my stomach shape is all over the place. I don’t think my abdominal’s have ever really recovered from having 2 babies heads poking out of them all day, my stomach has never got back into place at all.

I’m desperately hoping that the Slendertone will be able to weave a little of that ab magic on my stomach, although obviously just the Slendertone on it’s own isn’t going to do much. I’ve started my new year diet a little late, well Monday to be exact and so far 3 days in it’s going rather well. I have an injury on my knee so going to the gym is out, but I have been trying to walk a little faster and take the longer route whilst taking the kids to School to try and get a bit of exercise.

I had my first Slendertone session yesterday and I have to say it was great, I sat watching the biggest loser on telly whilst my abs were being toned. If I’m honest I quite liked the sensation, and after hovering around the 20 mark on the unit for a while started cranking it up until around 35. I would have gone higher, but as it was the first session it says to take it easy. The manual says to take a rest day today, which I will but reluctantly…I really want another go!

So I’ll keep you regularly informed of my progress and let you know how I’m getting on, but so far so good.
